Ziramic™ is a proprietary, ceramic-metal coating based on a complex compound of zirconium metal. The coating is applied by Entegris’ proprietary ion plating technology at low temperatures. Ziramic technology extends PVD coating beyond carbide and high-speed steel to heat sensitive steels and other materials.

 

A complex compound of zirconium is applied as a multilayer coat on the substrate by Entegris' proprietary physical vapor deposition technology. This coating can be applied to heat sensitive steels and other materials because of the low process temperatures used to apply Ziramic.
