Entegris Korea, maker of specialty chemicals and advanced materials solutions in semiconductor and other high-tech industries announced they will invest in a Suwon, JangAn facility expansion for HDPE drums. Combined with last year's investment, it totals 83.4 billion KRW investment for two years. JaeWon Kim, country president of Entegris Korea said, "Through this investement, JangAn facility will be the largest facility in the world that produces specialty chemicals and engineering materials. We will make the JangAn facility our Asia hub for advanced material production."
The JangAn facility (26,000 ㎡ for whole area) comprises nine buildings including the HDPE drum facility. Through this investment, production volume of HDPE drums will increase 50% globally. Entegris, headquartered in Massachusetts, USA operates about 11 factories globally including Yonezawa (Japan), Kulim (Malaysia), and Korea. The company has three divisions: specialty chemical and engineering materials, microcontamination control, and advanced materials handling. Also, they have diverse solutions to monitor and deliver advanced materials. Kim said, "We have clean delivery solutions to deliver product quickly and safely to prevent pollution in semiconductor manufacturing processes."
Revenue is on the rise every year, from 141.1 billion KRW in 2014, to 283.6 billion KRW in 2018.
