When I reflect on the past several months, I believe with greater conviction than ever that what we do as a business must be inextricably linked to what we stand for as an organization. In other words, I believe that doing what’s right for our business must be aligned with our PACE Values and have a lasting, positive impact on our world.
As events have unfolded this year, they have challenged nearly every aspect of our personal and professional lives. The strong foundation of our shared PACE values has helped define how we at Entegris confront these profound challenges, individually and collectively.
We have fought hard as a company against the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic with one fundamental priority in mind – ensuring the health and safety of our colleagues, families, customers, and supply chain partners. While I am very proud of our success in keeping our extended team safe, I recognize that the fight is not over yet, and that the pandemic’s impact will likely be enduring.
In addition, the recent protests in communities around the world are a reminder of the insidious effects of racial injustice in our society. It is more important than ever to reaffirm our unwavering commitment as an organization to treat each other with dignity and respect and to unequivocally embrace diversity and tolerance.
Today, we want to broaden and formalize these pledges as we launch Entegris’ Corporate Social Responsibility framework, which will be built on four pillars: Innovation, Safety, Personal Development and Inclusion, and Sustainability. Each are explained in more detail below.
Our Corporate Social Responsibility program will be embedded in our business strategy and integral to how we measure our success. As a leadership team, we are committed to setting ambitious goals and to being transparent in reporting our progress. A series of aspirational goals for each of these four pillars will be finalized as part of this year’s strategic plan and will be communicated on our website in October.
Innovation
We believe in pursuing innovation that leads to broad economic value creation and the betterment of the lives of millions of people. Our science-based solutions are enabling the Fifth Industrial Revolution and “digitalization of our world” by making possible the future of computing and facilitating faster, more reliable, and more energy efficient chips. Our technology will help power the transformation of our cities, transportation, and medicine as well as the way we work, the way we shop, and our social interactions. Beyond semiconductors, we are also advancing innovation in other industries. Currently, we are proud to supply our Aramus™ high-purity bags to some of the major pharmaceutical companies working around the clock to develop a COVID-19 vaccine.
Safety
We are committed to the safety of our people, customers and extended business partners. We believe that a clear and strong commitment to safety throughout our operations ultimately translates into a best-in-class manufacturing culture required to perform at the highest quality levels expected by our customers. Our commitment to safety permeates everything we do. It drives the way we design our products and is at the core of our value proposition for our customers. This can be seen in our global leadership in the safe delivery of specialty gases in the semiconductor fabrication process and the chemical containers used to transport safely and preserve the purity of critical process chemistry across the semiconductor ecosystem. We also are working with leading auto manufacturers to make the future of autonomous driving safer with more reliable chips for their Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems.
Personal Development and Inclusion

Sustainability
At Entegris, we will limit the environmental burden of our global operations. We are focused on limiting what we consume to manufacture our products, including reducing water usage, consuming less energy and using greener chemistries. We also select, recognize and reward our suppliers based on their commitment to broad sustainability programs. In addition, we are designing products that have a positive impact on the environment like our liquid filtration solutions that allow for lower consumption of chemicals by extending the life of chemical baths in semiconductor applications and our Savana® filter that enables large scale desalination in areas of the world where fresh water is scarce.
In closing, at Entegris we have a strong legacy as an innovator. I am optimistic that we can use this strength to help solve the many challenges we face as a global community. I look forward to sharing more details about our CSR program in the coming months.
